mousewriting Channel Rules
Yep, even the most relaxed and carefree of past times has some rules.
We have tried not to be overly picky in this department...
but face it, a few guidelines help make things more enjoyable for everyone!!
So here goes!!!!!!

1) No fighting in the channel!

Got a problem to resolve? Take it private or message an OP for help! A small and simply put rule...but VERY important!

2) No Mp3 files!

This is per cservise request. Mp3s are not allowed in registered channels on the Undernet. Another small but IMPORTANT rule!

3) No auto grabbing!

Keep your file requests to one every 30 seconds. This is to prevent flooding and in the long run will help your DCC transfers move more quickly. Also try to limit your requests to 2 files from any given person. Remember you are not the only one trying to get wavs/midis or text files from others. If you need help disabling an auto get or want to learn how to request files, our OPs would be happy to assist!

4) No intentional flooding!

This is a pretty universal rule! It is disruptive, rude and childish. Flooding the channel is an easy way to earn a kick/ban! We have no real size limit on ascii art played in the channel...but use common sense and be courteous to others.
If a .txt file is turning out to be much bigger than you expected type /play stop to halt it.

This applies to sound files too. Set auto plays for one every 60 seconds at the very least.

5) No hard core sex channels or advertising!

If you are in a sex channel when you come to our channel you will be asked to leave that channel or ours. We do not presume to judge anyone by their choice of chat but simply do not want our channel associated with hard core sex or pornography.

Likewise..
Our OPs will not tolerate advertising of such channels when in #popswavs'nfriends.
Keep it light! We flirt, joke, tease and get crazy here every day! Remember that it is all in fun!
Respect others!
Don't let your fingers cross over to the dark side and start offending people!
On the same note, don't hurry to take offense.
We all know the embarrassment of playing the wrong popup or being on the receiving end of that untested ascii art.
Don't be shy about playing those files but to save yourself the red face and ruffled feathers, create a test channel for yourself ( type /join nameyoumadeup ) and test those new popups there in private first!
At the very least, warn the rest of the channel that you are embarking on uncharted territory and let the colors go!
